Connection over Perfection
(Quote from Linda Kohanov)
For which horses?
Category 1: Horses with problematic behavior:
– Horse does not allow itself to be touched / caught
– Horse is very afraid of ropes, objects
– Horse bites, kicks, rears up
– Horse tears itself loose
Category 2: Young horses for starting
Category 3: Horses with special issues:
– Horse is afraid of water / spray bottles
– Horse won’t stand still at the tie-up / when mounting
– Horse should get to know liberty work
– Horse should be more relaxed in the trailer
Content of the training:
a combination of technique, sensitivity and relationship that strengthens the interaction between human and horse
an inner, positive attitude towards the horse, awareness of the condition of human and horse and a clear intention
a genuine connection and relationship with the horse
Prerequisite for training:
You want a connection with your horse and are interested in the training process
Training procedure:
The horse will be transported by you, a transportation company or by me. If it is a horse with problematic behavior, we can start training before the training period so that it can be transported.
Depending on its level of training, it will live in a paddock, round pen or a small herd right next to the house. It is given hay, water and a salt lick. Suitable equipment can be provided, but is not a prerequisite.
The horse is trained for about 1 hour 5 days a week.
If it is a horse with problematic behavior, the training takes place several times a day, 7 days a week. The sessions are shorter but last about 2 – 3 hours per day.
